One of the first horse breeders to utilize the world-wide web, we are proud to say that most of our clients come to us either through our web site, repeat customers or by "word of mouth" from our satisfied clients. Over the past sixteen years, we have established a reputation for honesty and integrity in our business dealings in addition to breeding some the finest Andalusian horses in the U.S. Many of our clients have become my very close friends and for this I am especially thankful.
Being a relatively
small breeder, we have always put an emphasis on quality and consistency
of type, regardless of the latest "fads". Our horses
have all been approved by the Spanish Cria Caballar, having met
their exacting specifications for breeding stock. The results
of our research and exacting demand for the highest quality foundation
mares and stallions become evident when you look at our National
Championship earnings. Competing in large classes consisting of
the top national Andalusian horses (usually under the scrutiny
of at least one Spanish judge), six Dragonwood owned or bred horses
have competed and ALL SIX
CAME HOME WITH NATIONAL HONORS! In 1997 alone, DW titles included
1997
High Point Halter Horse of the year, National Get of Sire , Region 1 Get
of Sire and Produce of Dam,
Regional
Ch. Jr. Stallion, National Ch. Junior Amateur Driving Horse,
National Champion Colt, and National High Point Halter
Horse, an accomplishment few if any
other U.S. breeders have accomplished in a single year. The following
year, Luminosa DW and Jarana were named 1998 National Ch. Filly and 1998 National Ch. Sr. Mare respectively.
These
results have been thrilling to say the least and I would like
to thank all of the people who have believed in the quality of
our breeding program enough to purchase and promote our babies
and/or breed their special mares to Don
Marco (our foundation sire until 1998) and Impresario DW,
our young National halter champion and "Next Generation"
breeding stallion, moving us forward into the new millennium.
Impresario's first foals were born in 2000 and they are OUTSTANDING,
receiving praise for their size, Spanish style, quality, agility
and intelligence from breeders, trainers and veterinarians. He
has been approved
for breeding by the Cria Caballar
